Gillia's Bench
This was my first woodworking project. It's based off of a Shanty2Chic design that I saw on Ana White's site. It was labeled an Advanced project, so naturally I made it my first. It's made of select pine, joined with Gorilla Glue and Kreg Pocket Screws. Gillia chose the stain color and did the staining. It was a surprise gift for her.
The Big Gray Bench
This was the second thing I built, I think. It all gets a bit blurry. There were so many things. Once again, I mostly followed a plan, and then went my own way. The plans that I based this off of were again Ana White plans. That means pocket screws and home center pine. Again, I diverged from the plans to suit my own nefarious purposes.
The Fibonacci Box
This box, which features some beautiful cherry with heartwood and softwood proudly displayed, is called The Finbonacci Box. Each side of the box features joinery that matches a number in the Fibonacci sequence. So, the top is 1. One side has 2 half-lap joints. The next features 3 finger joints. The next has 5 finger joints. The last side has 8 finger joints. Finally, the bottom has thirteen dowels connecting the bottom from the sides.
